Meet the Owner
Hey There! My name is Courtney Nemechek- Showalter. After graduating college with design and business degrees, I moved to a new city for a typical corporate job. The one thing after college we are all supposed to “strive for”. After nine months into the new corporate job, I began to feel out of place, reminiscing on my definition of working in college. I had started my own woodworking and home décor business, Court’s Woodworx, at age 19. All throughout college I worked for myself taking orders online and hand making each and every item. I loved every minute of it, even the busy ones. After holding my corporate job, and working for myself on nights and weekends I soon realized how much I enjoyed working for myself, selling to amazing customers, and the feeling of freedom. With always having an interest in design, fashion, or home décor, and a strong entrepreneurial spirit, I knew there had to be more out there for me. Even if I had to create it!
The idea of turning my woodworking business into a trademarked brand I could still sell while starting up an ecommerce boutique selling women’s fashion, and home décor popped into my mind, and never left. Finally, after many thoughts, savings, and one big ambitious leap… I am beyond thrilled to start Pink Pines. My focus is to deliver women the most unique fashion and home décor finds, all in one place. Supporting communities and shopping local has always been something important to me, coming from a small but beautiful Kansas town. For me, my store creates one of a kind happiness, and I want to spread that joy with my customers. My vision here at Pink Pines is to inspire women to find their style. Weather it be through their fashion sense or home design touches, and to always have confidence in it.
